Airtable Alternatives

Baserow

Baserow is an open source no-code database and application builder with dashboards and integrations. Like Airtable, Baserow operates on a "freemium" model, offering both cloud and self-hosted options. Self-hosted plans do not have row or database limits, but you may still have to pay for functionality like XML and JSON exporting. See a breakdown of features on Baserow's pricing page.

Stackby

Stackby is another No-Code database platform with reporting, automations, forms, and integrations. Like Airtable and Baserow, Stackby operates on a "freemium" model. As of May 2025, its plans are cheaper than Airtable, but more expensive than Baserow. See a breakdown of features on Stackby's pricing page.

Corpora

Corpora is an open-source "dataset studio." The self-hosted tool helps scholars create a database with little to no programming required and provides digital humanities infrastructure, including a REST API, data collection/curation interface, and Python environment for data analysis and processing. Corpora was developed by Dr. Bryan Tarpley, Associate Research Scientist for Critical Infrastructure Studies at the Center of Digital Digital Humanities research at Texas A&M. Projects using Corpora include New Variorum Shapespeare and Texas Art Project.

Claris Filemaker

Claris FileMaker, formerly FileMaker Pro, is a low-code database for building custom apps and software. FileMaker has a steep learning curve and requires some coding, but it can offer more customization than Airtable. Claris offers both could and self-hosted options. See a breakdown of features on Caris's pricing page.

Microsoft Access

Microsoft Access is a database management system included in the Microsoft Office suite. Like Airtable, Microsoft Access users can build databases through a graphical-user-interfaces, with features for reporting and data entry; however, it does not have the same collaboration tools as other apps on this list. Microsoft Access also does not offer cloud hosting options, but it can connect to self-hosted SQL databases. Learn more from Microsoft.
